This policy explains what personal information Plane Skin collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at abbieparis7@gmail.com.
Who we are
Plane Skin is the controller of your personal information. Our address is 12 Elizabeth Road, London. E6 1BP. You can contact us about privacy at abbieparis7@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you join the boarding list: your email address, and if you give them, your first name and which kit you’d book (One Way, Return or not sure). We also note where on the site you signed up.
When you place an order: your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address, phone number (if given), what you ordered and your order history. Payments are handled by Paypal. We never see or store your full card details.
When you contact us: your name, email address and your message.
If you create an account: your login details and the information above, saved for next time.
To keep the site safe: to block spam sign-ups, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. It is deleted automatically within an hour.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Process, deliver and support your order | Contract — we need it to fulfil your order |
| Send you boarding-list and marketing emails | Consent — you can withdraw it at any time |
| Reply to your messages and handle returns or complaints | Legitimate interests — looking after our customers |
| Prevent fraud and spam and keep the site secure | Legitimate interests — protecting you and us |
| Keep order and tax records | Legal obligation |
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you’ve asked to receive them — by joining the boarding list or ticking the box at checkout. New sign-ups are asked to confirm their email address first. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email abbieparis7@gmail.com and we’ll remove you.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run Plane Skin, and only what they need:
- Mailchimp (Intuit) — sends our emails and stores the boarding list.
- Hostinger — hosts our website and its database.
- Paypal — takes payments securely.
- Royal Mail — delivers your order (name, address and, where needed, phone and email for delivery updates).
We never sell your information.
International transfers
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Mailchimp stores data in the United States. It relies on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, with standard contractual clauses as a backup. Where any other provider transfers data outside the UK, we make sure it’s covered by UK adequacy regulations or by approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
Our site uses only the cookies it needs to work. These keep items in your basket, keep you signed in if you have an account, and protect the checkout. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics in future, we’ll update this section first.
How long we keep it
- Boarding list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address on a “do not contact” list so we don’t email you again by mistake.
- Orders: 6 years from the end of the financial year they were placed in, as UK tax law requires.
- Messages to us: up to 2 years, unless they relate to an order.
- Spam-protection IP data: up to 1 hour.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your information
- correct it
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- move it to another provider
- withdraw your consent at any time
To make a request, email abbieparis7@gmail.com. We’ll respond within one month. If a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we’ll tell you if so.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at abbieparis7@gmail.com or through the contact form on our Our Story page. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome.
If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
